The solar panels give maximum efficiency only when the sun shines at them at right angles.
But the sun, depending on the season, moves in different trajectories. For example, in the summer the sun moves closer to the zenith – in this case, the solar panels work better at a gated corner of the placement. In the winter, the sun moves closer to the horizon – in this case, the solar panels work better when placed with the direction to the horizon.
Precisely for solving this problem, the Ukrainian company Solar Stolkonstruktsiya has developed and adjusted the production of fasteners for sunshine with a variable angle.

How much more efficient systems with variable angles than static ones?
The actual growth of the generation depends on the location of the solar station and the number of positions of the alternating angle. On the average in Ukraine, with timely rearrangement of the slope of the modules, we observe our clients an additional increase of 4-5% to the annual generation.
How many times a year you need to change the angle?
Minimum – 2 times (winter / summer), but most clients prefer 3-4 different inclination (winter / spring-autumn / summer), that is, the change of position occurs 4-6 times a year.
How much time and people do you need to change the angle of inclination for a solar power system of 100 kW?
At the station “Main Buildings” in the Republic of Belarus, with a capacity of 55 MW, built on the design of SMS-301 with a variable angle of our production, which was put into operation in May this year, they carried out the timing of the change of the angle of inclination. As a result, 2 brigades of 2 people change 1 MW of station for 2 days. That is, 100kW of power for a small household in a standard family can be changed in 4-6 hours.
The difference in price reaches 25% compared to standard mounting systems, however, at the whole station, it is not more than 2%. Not bad, given that this difference is already overlapping for the first year of generation.
Is there already implemented projects in Ukraine?
In Ukraine, a lot of implemented projects on the systems of fastening our production with a variable angle from private stations of 30 kW to large ones by 4-5 MW. The largest project on such designs is implemented in Reichits Republic of Belarus with a capacity of 55 MW.
Do Ukraine often use similar systems for the construction of commercial SES? What is the percentage of the total (approximately).
Every 5th station we build is developed using an alternating angle. Private stations are bigger, but if converted into a percentage of installed capacity, then only one Sambir SES-2 of the Eco-optima company with a capacity of 4.2 MW doubles all supplied stations with a variable angle for private households.
All mounting systems manufactured by our company are manufactured 100% by ourselves. Suppliers of roll steel, aluminum and hot dip galvanizing services are involved in the co-operation. The current productivity is 150-200 MW of constructions per year. Now we put into operation a factory for the production of fastening systems which will have a zinc coating bath. After launch, the annual capacity will increase to 600 MW per year. At the moment we see demand for 50% of this figure from Ukraine and CIS countries.What kind of equipment warranty (and depends on which company is involved in installation)?
All designs manufactured by our company are subject to a 10 year warranty. The service life is set, but not limited, by the 25th year. Most sales are organized through dealers who install structures in accordance with our instructions and recommendations. Nevertheless, the manufacturer’s limited warranty remains the same for the end customer. That is, in case of any problems with the design, the end customer refers to the company that he was supplying and installing (if not we), in case it is not mounting errors, and for example, mechanical deformations of the structure during operation from external influences, then this issue is already being corrected by the manufacturer. By the way for 6 years of work we have not received any operational complaints from clients
